Pool acid washing service in Las Vegas
An acid wash strips the thin top layer of plaster along with the calcium, algae staining and mineral deposits bonded to it. It is the reset button for a pool that no longer responds to chemicals or brushing, and in Las Vegas the calcium from our water makes it a job most plaster pools need every few years. It is not a routine cleaning. Done too often or with the wrong dilution it shortens the life of the plaster, which is why we assess the surface first and will tell you if a tile clean or a drain and refill would do the job instead.
How we do it
The pool is drained and the shell rinsed. We apply a diluted muriatic acid solution section by section, scrub, and rinse immediately so the acid is never on the plaster longer than it needs to be. Runoff is neutralised before disposal. Then we refill, balance and check the water chemistry over the following days while the fresh plaster surface settles.
