Our Services

Calcium Removal

Over time, calcium will build up in your pool, making tile and other components look unsightly. We provide calcium removal services for pools and other water features, using such products as the gentle Maxx Strip. Maxx Strip is an environmentally safe, water-soluble product that features a Mohs hardness of 3.5, which is harder than sodium but still gentle with your pool tiles or water features. We offer calcium removal for both residential or commercial pools and water features.

Acid Washing

Even when you clean your pool correctly and frequently, stains and algae will build up. Over time, they can become challenging to remove, and the pool will always appear dirty. We guarantee effective cleaning by using an effective acid-water solution applied to pool surfaces.  The solution is scrubbed onto the surfaces until they are sparkling clean.

Pool Draining

The pool may need to be drained when you want to refresh your pool water or need some maintenance done. Generally, pools should be emptied every three years. To make the process move quickly, we use quality, portable pumps to efficiently drain pool water and direct it straight into the sewer system. We guarantee that your residential pool will be emptied and ready for a new batch of water in less than ten hours.

Media Blasting Services

While we specialize in pool and water features, we also clean rust, grime, and graffiti from driveways, brick walls, and more. We do it using a brilliant technique called “media blasting,” a process in which the top layer of a hard surface is removed. Media blasting is used to tackle stubborn stains, grime, rust, and graffiti. We don’t use this technique unless it’s the only method that will get the job done.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The simple answer is hard water build-up. Calcium is a naturally occurring mineral found in water. Here in the Desert Southwest, the water is considered “hard” because of the high calcium and magnesium levels it contains. When visiting Lake Mead, you notice the white line around the mountains where the water level used to be. That white line is calcium, the same as the calcium build-up around your pool tile. Hard water builds up on the pool tile where the air and the water meet when evaporation occurs. The mineral deposits on the pool tile accumulate and build up, causing the white line to appear.

  • There is no miracle solution to add to a pool that will prevent the build-up. Still, pool owners can reduce or slow the accumulation of hard water deposits around their pool tile, natural stone, artificial stone, slate, Pebble Tec, or other pool surfaces.

    • Scrub where the pool water meets these surfaces regularly

    • Keep the pool water chemically balanced

    • Keep pool water levels constant so the build-up is a one-inch ordeal, not a 6-inch one

    • Drain and refill the pool with fresh water every 3 to 5 years

  • There are several things pool owners can do when they notice a build-up in their Pebble Tec saltwater pool. The most common are to use a pumice stone or muriatic acid to remove the build-up. Once any build-up is too thick to treat yourself, call a professional company to remove the hard water build-up to preserve the pool surfaces. Calcium is corrosive and can permanently damage the pool tile or other pool surfaces.

  • Acid is very caustic, can burn you, and will most likely change the chemical balance of your pool. So, you can use it if the calcium build-up is just a thin layer, but if the build-up is more substantial, acid would not be the best choice to remove the hard water build-up. Contact a reputable pool cleaning service for assitance.

Muric acid: Keep in mind that muriatic acid can be dangerous to use, as it causes burns and can change the chemical balance of the pool.

  • Yes, but keep in mind that these blocks can crumble easily when you use them, and if chunks of the stone get into the pool pump gears, they can cause damage. Pumice stones can also scratch the surfaces you scrub, leaving a sanded surface that calcium will more easily adhere to, making the next cleaning even harder. Also, remember that cleaning with a pumice stone is arduous and may take several days to finish.
